Affordable exhaust at its best.

The SP Series is an excellent combination of quality and performance at an affordable price, while maintaining the attributes of our existing exhaust product lines.

SP systems are street legal, which means that they conform to the conditions of the EU technical commission with regard to the allowable noise levels of aftermarket exhaust systems. Their legality is also officially approved and marked on the muffler with a laser engraving. These systems contain special noise damping inserts, by which they conform to the strict requirements for street use.

The SP series is visually minimally distinct from the existing systems. The only readily recognizable element is a modification to the Akrapovic logo on the sticker. The logo includes an additional element which clearly indicates the type of exhaust system

SP systems are constructed entirely of high-quality stainless steel. The only exception is the outer sleeve of the muffler, which is available only in titanium.

The development of SP systems will always take the philosophy of Akrapovic’s top lines into account. Since SP systems are derived from the already established Akrapovic product lines, this means the same guaranteed product quality, durability and performance characteristics as the existing Akrapovic exhaust system lines.

The new SP series exhaust systems are always developed in parallel with the existing lines, through which we in some cases expand the choice of a certain type of exhaust system for a given motorcycle in a practical manner. But this will not always be the case. The decision to develop an SP version of a system will also be based on the potential for the given model of motorcycle.

A very important parameter of the SP series exhaust systems is their incompatibility with the existing Akrapovic product lines. This means that it is not possible to interchange the component parts of SP series exhaust systems with those of other systems, which makes the SP series and the other product lines exclusive of each other (e.g.: the muffler from an SP version will not fit onto a Slip-On link pipe and vice versa).

SP systems are cheaper than the existing systems in the same line and their prices will be comparable to the competition

Even we know how to follow the rules. There are rules and there are limits. To be honest, from time to time it can be fun to break some of them and shake up the everyday boredom. But as we said, there are still rules and limits. And one of these is the limit on exhaust system noise levels. Conditions on the market and legal regulations have directed us towards the development and production of a new generation of mufflers whose basic design is based on our existing Akrapovic Racing and Evolution line exhaust systems. Like the rest of the Akrapovic range, the new generation mufflers use state-of-the-art materials developed in order to provide top-flight performance, the lowest possible weight and the highest production quality. A lot of people know about us through motorcycle racing and understand our attitude and dedication to the sport and to motorcycling in general. At Akrapovic, we have our ear finely tuned to the sound of motorcycle racing exhaust systems, and since we know how to listen to other opinions, we have expanded our range to include the Street Legal line, which conforms to the strict EU regulations for street use. The line satisfies all conditions for exhaust system noise levels and safety. Accordingly, the line has been approved by the technical standards board for each specific type of motorcycle, which is indicated by a stamp of approval on the muffler. Noise levels are lower than our other lines, but the recognizable Akrapovic sound is still there. All of the other lines in the Akrapovic range are supported by a Street Legal option, of course on the condition that our development department made a positive assessment of the suitability of this line for the particular type of motorcycle. The Street Legal system is yet another Akrapovic product which underscores our high level of production quality using the most up-to-date technological processes. A beautiful result with a simple procedure using tensioning springs.

The Akrapovic Slip-on system is a parallel line to the Bolt-on series and is based on a simple replacement of the stock muffler together with the link pipe. The rest of the stock system remains untouched. The system is developed and fine-tuned for each specific model of motorcycle, and is the last step before a serious tune-up involving the replacement of the entire exhaust system.

Where everyday riding meets the pulse of the racetrack.

The Supersport line is a complete replacement exhaust system. It represents the first level of serious performance improvement at a reasonable price, using a completely redesigned exhaust system.

It is intended for customers who expect sports performance, but not the extreme racing characteristics of our race-replica exhaust systems. The major advantage of the Supersport line is that it is intended for everyday use, but don't think that the performance of the system suffers as a result! On the contrary, the Supersport line offers power and torque which stock exhaust systems simply cannot match!

The main characteristic of the Supersport line is the reworking of the system, allowing increased available power and torque over the entire rpm range. This means a smoother application of power and torque, making the bike especially pleasant for everyday riding. At the same time the Supersport system gives the bike an unmistakable sound, noticeably lighter weight and aesthetic elegance, in most cases in polished stainless steel.

Some Supersport models include crossover tubes installed between the header tubes, as test results indicated that for these models the crossover tubes provide increased exhaust system performance.

If you think the Racing line is the exhaust system to raise the competition’s eyebrows, prepare yourself for a shock! The Evolution line is proof of your discriminating taste in technical achievement – essentially a custom exhaust system.

The EVOLUTION line is an exceptional product. Due to the unconventional physical structure of each design, it is extremely difficult to make sweeping generalizations about them. Each one is a masterpiece intended exclusively for a particular model of bike and engine type.

Some newly developed exhaust systems use the latest tube forming technology, HYDROFORMING. Water at extremely high pressure is used to form the header tubes, whose unique shape gives better results for the flow of exhaust gases than previously attainable.

HYDROFORMING is a process of tube forming using a medium based on a water emulsion with lubricant additives. The introduction of this technology allows the complete realization of technological ideas which have been developed by Akrapovic R&D. One such idea is our patented D-type header tubes, which up to the present have been manufactured using other production processes. Hydroforming is extremely rare in the motorcycle exhaust system industry. More about HYDROFORMING

Some Evolution line models can be attached to the stock fittings and require no additional modification to the bike, while certain models are developed on the basis of factory racing kits intended for custom racing bikes, and therefore do not fit onto the stock motorcycle. In order to gain the maximum advantage from these models, the EFI mapping may have to be reset or the carburetor may have to be re-jetted, and in certain cases some minor modifications to the exterior of the bike or the engine are required. Replacement parts for such modifications are available with the factory race kits.

If you are interested and there is an Evolution line exhaust system for your bike, and if it requires additional modification, we ask that you check the information in our catalog carefully, or see your official Akrapovic dealer or representative.

The Evolution line exhaust system is therefore a combination of experience gained through working with factory teams, top-notch quality, extremely high performance, and in most cases, the touch of class obtained with the use of state-of-the-art titanium. Now you too can experience it! We barely need to add the fact that weight is reduced to an absolute minimum.

The Evolution line is the flagship of the Akrapovic range – it is simply the finest exhaust system available for your bike. Each model is unique. The Evolution line is dedicated only to its own interest and principles. It is guaranteed to satisfy both your aesthetic taste and your racing spirit.

The RACING line is the one which quickens the pulse of motorcyclists. It is developed and tuned especially for each specific model of motorcycle, without regard to the level of racing character of the bike. It is also intended for race-hardened riders who are used to trying to ride the perfect line on the race course.

Even though the point is to increase adrenalin flow throughout the rider's body, many riders choose to use this system for everyday use, as the system can be installed on an otherwise stock bike.

The Akrapovic RACING line has a very distinctive design. It is a complete exhaust system, composed of conical elements which due to the specifics of their construction require watchmaker's precision and state-of-the-art welding technology, making it essentially a work of art! The conical composition of the system allows maximum exploitation of the physical features of the flow of exhaust gases.

The system is designed to reach the limit and is in each case individually specific; this is shown in the installation of crossover tubes between the header tubes. If the results of testing show no improvement using the crossover tubes, they are not installed.

The RACING line guarantees extreme high performance. The increase in power and torque is extreme, as is characteristic of Akrapovic exhaust systems. If you are a fan of pulling power at high revs, you will be delighted by the benefits of this exhaust system. This series has the special characteristic of having the power concentrated in the upper end of the rpm range, as is called for by the basic intent of the systems – their use on the racetrack, where the advantage is gained in the upper rpm range.
