Secure Connections & Certificates
When you purchase something online, if the company you are dealing with does not have a Secure Certificate, any details that you send them when you press the 'Submit' button on your computer could be viewed by a third party. We don't believe in taking chances. When you go to our ordering system, you will see a small padlock at the bottom right of this browser window. This is your way of verifying that the connection is secured by very strong encryption. Everything you send to us while on these pages is encoded before it is sent so that no-one else can view the details of your transaction. This way, you can be confident that your details are just as secure as if you had come into the shop with your card. To further ensure that your details are used securely, we will check your card if it is used outside the UK, just in case it has been taken and used without your knowledge while you were out of the country. We do this by matching the name and address information you have supplied to us to that where the card is registered. This can take an extra day or two of processing for overseas orders but we just like to be sure. Cookies Cookies are very small text files that your browser saves to your hard drive. When you visit and start browsing a website, the website starts a session with you. The information in a cookie is not used to identify you as a person, rather it is used to ensure that your browser is the only one that can access the session once it has started. This helps prevent other people from opening a browser on another computer and seeing information that could be used against you or our site.
